The various heritage organisations have agreed to work together with clear responsibilities. A new organisation Caistor Local History Society (CLHS) has been formed. Its role is as follows.
promote an interest in the history and archaeology of Caistor & district
be accessible to all as local history is for everyone
liaise with academic experts and experienced people
involve and encourage the community in the study of, and research, promotion, preservation, of local and family history and archaeology
work closely with relevant bodies, by arranging exhibitions, talks, walks, and display of artefacts, with local historical connections
work with local groups to encourage civic pride
